Gentlemen wargamers at
Josh Barton’s place last night.
Michael Stonyer’s legendary Romans are real and gorgeous. Josh (Thebans) and I (Seleucids masquerading as Alexandrian Macedonians) did play a game of toy soldiers (DBMM 200). My seldom seen temple of Poseidon made it onto the table. And there were chocolates.
For a game report and lots more pics see Josh’s earlier post on this blog.
Stoney also took pics, which we hope to see.
A great evening - thank you for your company chaps 😊

Josh, me and Stoney - gentlemen all! |
 |
Stoney’s Middle Imperial Romans. There’s lots of them and still more on the painting table. Bases to be finished. |
 |
Deployment: Josh and his Thebans on the left, Alexandrian Macedonians on the right. |
 |
A Brigadoon moment - the temple of Poseidon appeared! Here with a swarm of Theban psiloi. |

Chocolates (obviously) |
