At the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club today (post 1 of 3), photos are from Michael Stonyer (many thanks ) and all mistakes are mine. Corrections are most welcome - in comments or by messenger and I will make amends. There were four games of DBMM and one of DBR. DBMM: Barry Norris used Dirk Heinsius's Fatimids against Alastair Duncan's Crusaders; Gary Lewis (Middle Anglo-Saxon Mercians) vs Russell Briant (Middle Imperial Roman); in the battle of the Richards, Richard Mason (Fatimids) played Richard Fields (Sea People); and in the battle of the Pergamenes, Paul Graham played Peter Noble. DBR: Allen Yaxley (possibly Danish) played Drew Fortune (Ottomans).
Here is Barry (Fatimids) vs Alastair (Crusaders). The Fatimids were on the ropes, almost broken, when a final, desperate charge killed a Crusader general, broke his command, which in turn broke the Crusader army!
