I found a set of Highland cattle on Shapeways which I thought looked ideal as stolen cattle baggage for a dark ages Army. I contacted the designer Stijn and asked if they would rescale to 1:56 28mm scale and he agreed and loaded them this morning.

Not cheap by any means but when people respond like that it’d be rude not to go through with the purchase.

Stijn also said happy to rescale anything else in his range and any new sculpts he will do 1/56 editions.

Unfortunately the files are not for sale.

So it looks like I’m painting a Dark Age Army.

  On the subject of cattle, does anyone know of a manufacturer who does good 'African' cattle in 15mm (or a scaleable 3d print). I know Irregular have them but I've never been able to see what they look like and I think they can be a bit hit and miss . . .

    Same chap Stijn would rescale these Ankole-Watusi cattle individually or collectively to 1:100 15mm scale.
