The new army lists are now available at https://www.lulu.com/ in the bookstore. And before anyone asks it will be a while if they appear on Amazon, if at all. The poor commercial terms being the key driver for WRG.
This edition of the DBMM lists, whilst not being a complete overhaul, does have the following changes:
- Split and reworked the Medieval German list.
- Made all date ranges inclusive and used a consistent format.
- Reformatted to make the lists easier to read. This will always be subjective and not everyone will like what’s been done.
- Separated out the list-specific rules and restrictions from the list notes.
- Moved sections so that sub-sections appear in date order of when available.
- Indented foreign allies who do not have a list of their own where this aids consistency and clarity.
- Modified the introductory wording and allies to reflect actual practice and be consistent across all 4 list books.
- Based upon queries and social media comments updated some lists and notes to make the intention as clear as possible.
- Dealt with some minor inconsistencies across lists.
- Fixed minor textual errors, such as incorrect points costs, contradictory text and troops disappearing in puffs of logic.
- Where possible, re-ordered the terrain to be in placement order. The main exceptions to this are where terrain types vary according to date or location, or where only one of several types are permitted and they are in different parts of the placement order.
- Provided both fixed and mobile baggage for nearly all armies.
