Four games of DBMM were played at the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club yesterday: Allen Yaxley (Norse Irish) vs Wayne Watts (Italian Condotta), Paul Graham (Patrician Roman) vs Graham Starkey (Parthians), Gary Lewis (Anglo-Saxon Northumbrians) vs Phil Gates (Kushan), and I used my medieval Polish vs Kevin O’Kane (Tudor English, Henry VII). I will post a game report of my and Kevin’s game later.

Allen and Wayne consult the Book of Phil. Drew is watching and noting, a reconnaissance for when he plays them! |

The Battle of the Grahams. Action shot of Paul with dice cup and measuring stick. |
Ben VartokNick Buckby It's an advanced dice tower, the dice fall from the cup, the measuring stick connects and the dice are punished into the net at the far end of the table before settling at the base of goal.
Alastair DonaldI thought that net at the back of the room was to keep the old men away from children. Advanced dice tower you say?

Gary and Phil in the thick of it! |
Gary LewisI think I got two of them. Double overlapped against 2 ranks of spears. And a hard flank in one case.

Selfie of Kevin and me, gentleman wargamers, both! Yes, that’s the 2006 Poland home jersey, again, though it turned out we were the away team yesterday as the Jagiellonians visited the Tudors. |
