A question about Medieval Spanish - posted by Phil Gates, 8 April 2020

Question for the experts. Book 4, list 68, Medieval Spanish.
Contains an error in the section "Only from 1493 AD:" - "Regrade generals to Reg Kn(S) @ 35AP [S] or Reg Cv(O) @ 8AP"
So, that last bit is obviously wrong. But does anyone know what it should be, or where I can find out what it should be?

Neil Williamson I think it means you can upgrade your irr kn(o) sub generals to reg kn(s) or upgrade your Cavalls alforrats irr cv(o) to reg cv(o) but not both
  • Philip Gates But the line is about generals, and that is the only reference to generals being Cv and not Kn? Do you think that bit needs to be part of the next line?
  • Philip Gates No that is not right, the Cavalls Alforrats are only available to the Arogonese. That second bit of the line could almost be a copy and paste problem.
  • Neil Williamson Yes I think you are right. Must be regrade to cv(o) at 28ap
I think you are expecting too much clarity for a book we pay $50 for 🤔

  • Rob Groom Just as a note, The Book Depository has it for $34.25 incl freight if anyone is looking for it.
  • Russell Briant $50. $50 you say. Alistair can remember when $50 would buy you five pounds of metal figures from Mikes Models plus the New Zealand Postal Service import duty and leave enough for a good night out at Scribblers.

  • Alastair Duncan indeed. But that was after visiting ten different post offices to buy at 2 pound postal order at each one ........ and then Richard Prebble shut 8 of them down......... One day I must paint up a Rogergnomes army. All Ax infertior with a Don brash inert sub general.

  • Russell Briant That’s a fun list.

Can’t see any sub generals in that army though. All allies from different countries?

Roger a brilliant allied general, but doubles the dice for the other side?

    David? Inert after turn two.
