Rolling back the years, today I played a most enjoyable game with Peter Dunn at Warlords today.
400 point game saw Pete’s None angrier Aggressive Early Vikings invade Passively Aggressive Middle Imperial Rome.
As a later Anglo-Irishman would say of a battle, it ‘twas a near run thing.
Didius Julianus broke the invaders with half an ME spare from his legions breaking in turn.
A most fun game with perhaps first table appearance of Temple Julii baggage on the table bought luck to the unlucky Emperor..
Pete’s miniatures are all old school Foundry. It’s arm day every time Pete carries them in their toolbox.
[Admin: a selection of pics from the game - lots more on the FB post]

Beautiful distraction. The Viking landing wing. |
The Viking BIG command. Fast blade raiders leading Blade O Huscarls. Pete advised this command needed to be broken to break the army. Portentous words…. |
Woody difficult hill separated the BIG Viking command from their merely Large middle command…. |
Viking baggage. Wonderful. Spoiler alert. Praetor Genialis and his equities sacked this. |
