Keith Marshall has confirmed details for Alastair Donald’s funeral as follows:
His service will be held at 10.30am on Wednesday 7th October at the chapel at Davis Funerals, Grange Manor, 400 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland (link: https://davisfunerals.co.nz/.../location-central-auckland/ ). There is plenty of parking onsite.
Alastair’s service will also be livestreamed on the day, and a link to that will be available on the Davis Funerals website in due course. Once the service has concluded, a recording of the service will be available indefinitely thereafter.
A link to photo dropbox will be advised next week wherein anyone can place any photos they have of Alastair to be shown at the service.
The service will be hosted by a celebrant and comprise a few pre-arranged tributes from family and friends, followed by opening the floor to anyone who wants to speak on the day. In accordance with Alastair's wishes and beliefs, this is a non-religous service. Following the conclusion of the service there will be a light morning tea available in the reception rooms at Davis Funerals for folk to hang around and share memories and stories. Afterwards, Alastair will head off for cremation, and his ashes will be ultimately placed in with his Mum and Dad in Palmerston North in a private ceremony at a later date.
