Final results from the Nationals played on Saturday and Sunday at the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club. The words are from Richard Foster, with pics from Mike Stonyer (the captions are mine, as are any mistakes in them):

We originally had 16 entrants but poor old Philip and Dave had to withdraw. After some shuffling of deck chairs Al Duncan (big ups to you Sir) managed to corral some extras who got the numbers up to 16 from Saturday afternoon onwards. I would to thank those players, Richard Mason, Mark Pickup, Richard Fields and Josh Barton for coming in at such short notice.

The Best presented army went to Russell's Romans. They really were as good as the pictures.

Both Andrew Brazendale and Russell Briant finished with 3 scalps each so we went into extra time. After a hotly contested scrap, the General slayer award was eventually won by Andrew.

No baggage was harmed during the entire weekend so the baggage looter award was not presented.

We reinstated the Royal Rumble where each contestant brought their general to the colosseum. The last man standing was John Way's Julius Caesar.
