From Roving Reporter, Alastair Duncan, at the Wellington Warlords yesterday: Two DBMM games at the Johnsonville maul as Barry Norris’s Later Carthagians defended Southern Italy against Paul Graham’s marauding Phyrus. Elephants galore and warband annoying pike.
Across the hall Craig Ellison’s Mid Roman imperial power took a day trip to the Ukraine to attack Alastair’s brand new Alans. (We know it’s really just a police action!) With Dunedin refugee, Alan Clarke, throwing some judicious Alan dice the battle swayed until both exploded in the same and what proved to be the last move.
Lessons learned. Romans to defend the baggage and Alan C in C not to throw 1s four times in a row!!!
