Where to buy bases? Asked by Craig Latta, 13 september 2021

Is there anywhere in NZ one can get DBMM bases? Always prefer to support local

    3mm sheet plastic card (styrene.) Score it and snap it, tidy the edges by sanding. Any hobby shop should have it.

    Used to buy off Litko in the states but they are pricy now. Dopey et al are all good if you want 3mm bases, if you want thinner, I like 0.6mm, you can buy a sheet of ply and get a local cutter to laser to your measurements. Works out very cheap.

    Chess Craft in Featherston do my bases for me,they have magnetic sheeting attached too if you want. Also make rulers, measuring sticks etc.
