Repaired my Viking fleet this afternoon.
These have sat on various gaming shelves around the house, in boxes, all drawers etc for the last 20 years. Pulled them out and put them all back together.
Amazingly after all this time there was only one piece missing - a single stern decoration.
Great models from Essex

Allen YaxleyVery nice models. Are you planning a Viking Army?
Peter DunnI have two painted Viking armies already Allen.
The 15mm Early Viking through to Leidang using Two Dragon figures.
And a 28mm Early Viking (pre-850AD) using Foundry
Also have a full 15mm Rus army unpainted.

Allen YaxleyGary Lewis & I have been looking for models of Viking boats to include in our Norse armies.
Yours are very nice . Probably don’t make them any more.
John GildeaLovely boats. Do you use 15mm boats with a 28mm army or all 15mm?
John GildeaHave always wanted a Viking army but the lists seem to make it a pretty difficult one to use; irregular blade, no cavalry to speak of or good auxiliary. Have they been useful when you’ve used them?

Peter DunnJohn Gildea my experience was under DBM. The Leidang were a very good army, virtually unbreakable. The Viking raider army struggled due to the QK by oh so prevalent knights.
Haven’t got them out under DBMM but keen to try them vs contemporaries

Allen YaxleyJohn Gildea , not that difficult. They go forward. Have a factor of 4 , and can usually get kills in following combats with overlaps.
Knight (x) are harder, they don’t follow up.
Use Vikings as a sub-general in other armies where they are not ally? Is another option.
Ben VartokNothing wrong with a reserve of two inferior cavalry!
