The Persians are coming......
Kaspian Horse Archers, finished last night.
Victrix, with almost all the figures converted, which was not quite as easy as I hoped, but I think they turned out all right.

- Dirk HeinsiusAuthorKent Galpin My inspiration was “The Achaemenid Persian Army” by Duncan Head. The plan is bright colours and lots of braid/trim but muted to a more natural shade. I find the Sekunda colours too harsh. Also in general I’m going for lots of nationalities.

- Dirk HeinsiusAuthorJames Fahey many thanks. The wonders of having photoshop and a shutterstock account through work really helps. The real trick is getting the lighting correct1

- Bob SmithDirk Heinsius Was just going to ask about how you made the pics. I'm guessing you have a sandbox to stand the figures in and a green screen behind. Or is it all just photoshop.

- Dirk HeinsiusAuthorBob Smith I just take a photo on my painting table, with the light shining forward onto the faces. Important thing is to make sure that the pic is basically at eye level. Then I use photoshop to take out the background, Copt the pic onto a suitable backdrop and the adjust the lighting.Final thing is to fade out the bases of the figures1
