      Dirk Heinsius Cool! A word of warning though. That's what I thought when I started my (15mm) 11th century Spanish ally for the Andalusians. I now have 400+ AP of Spanish, 400+ AP of Andalusians and 400+AP of EMNA without having to borrow between collections . . .

      Incidentally, I might have mentioned before that Brendan Moyle reckoned Fatimid is a better list for Aglabids.

      John Edmundson Yeah, I already have a Fatimid army, all Old Glory and Gripping Beast in 28mm, which I may well sell, and replace with these figures.

      Oh and I have 500 AP of Fatimids in 15mm

      John Edmundson Oh I like the allies that the Aglabids can have. Esp. the Nikephorian ally in Sicily, or the Tuareg ally after 1000AD.

      I use Magrawanids to get the Tuareg ally (for romantic and aesthetic rather than game effect purposes). They lasted into the 11th century.

  What's the brittleness like? Will those lances snap with a clumsy grab while you are playing?

  I read a post the other day about spears and lances breaking quite easily, which I found alarming.
