One of our sons, Jake, and daughter-in-law to be, Briony, very kindly shouted my wife, Mim Cholewa, and me a perfume-making workshop for Mim’s birthday. Not only was I the only bloke there but I was the only one making a Byzantine-inspired perfume!

Julian Hannam snap! I did use woody, smokey, oriental and musky oils among others. They have recorded the top, middle and base notes and the blender I used (I didn’t know that stuff before the workshop) so I can get more (and gave me a $10 voucher as a
“generous” discount for a second bottle - marketing!).
