Two DBMM games and a sweet surprise at the

Hutt Club as Bruce Ferguson’s Swedes ground their way through Shay Bassett’s English.

Meanwhile, Barry Norris’s Fatamids used their Nafutan skirmishes to deal to Alastair’s Ghaznavids.

Order of the day goes to Phil Barker’s board game, Decine and Fall, released 53 years ago and still heaps of fun. Barry's Rome triumphed over second placed Richard Mason’s Goths, Alastair’s third placed Vandals, who made it all the way to Alexandria, while Hun boss, Mike Stonyer, spent 14 years as a pacifist to come 4th.
