DBMM returned to Auckland...well today for me and Benny anyway. After months fighting the inside of a toolbox my Vikings took on the Anglo Irish on their turf. It was an open air affair on the deck hoping the weather held. The AngloIrish expressed concern about the Ally General but he rolled a 6 in the first bound so all good except that his C n C and Sub then rolled 1 and 2. They proved to be pretty unreliable all game with poor pips (Viking pips were pretty good all game). Meant the Kns failed to get properly into the action and when they did lost all three combats against inferior blades (including one dead knight). The Irish combat dice were also bad and in the third bound 4 ones in a row led to a number of losses. On the plus side they did shoot well killing 5 Viking elements with bow fire but those were the only Viking casualties and my blades chewed through the spear, bow and ax. Much fun and great to have toys on the table, thanks Benny. (Whitney was happy to have visitors then went to sleep under the table until the lunch crumbs started falling).
