Looking for a game at the Warlords - posted by Peter Dunn, 16 June 2021

Are there any games set up for Warlords this weekend that wouldn’t mind a table sitter asking questions and trying to the learn the rules by observation?

My copy of the rules arrived from Amazon yesterday and I see with regards presentation and accessibility that you can’t teach old dogs new tricks

Actually Peter, it sounds like you're asking someone to do exactly that (-: Have fun playing the great game!

Hey Pete “accessible” is not a word I would use to describe the writing style. I have actually never been able to read the rule book from cover to cover! Like you, I got back into the period by coming to the club at first watching and then joining games.
On the table, DBMM produces a great game đź‘Ť

As a newbie (all right returnee after decades) I found DBMM200 an excellent way into the rules. You get to understand the tactics and mechanisms and the games are short (and pretty brutal - reserves, what reserves). Happy to set up a game with you at e…
