Farewell Brent Senior-Partridge: Thank you so much to everyone who came to afternoon tea today to meet Brent’s whānau, who had travelled down from Waikato. It was lovely to meet Brent’s brother, Paul, Paul’s partner Anna, Brent’s niece Whitney and her husband, Misikei, and to share fond memories of our dear friend.
Brent died in June last year after a major stroke. Paul and the whānau were in Wellington to collect Brent’s ashes and take them to Hamilton, where they will be interred in their family plot.
It was also an opportunity to see the wonderful work they have had done renovating Brent’s flat, which will go on the market next week.
My wife, Dr Miriam Hughes (a.k.a. Mim), did a smashing job doing the catering. Thank you darling
There had been a Wellington Warlords meeting that day (the club meets just around the corner from Brent’s flat), it was a gorgeous summer afternoon and we opened the front and back doors at the flat, letting the breeze and conversations flow, and enjoying the food and company - a perfect way to remember Brent. Rest easy, dear friend.

Brent’s ashes, the key to his flat, the backstory about “Brent’s Byzantines”, a pair of elephants from his estate and, of course, one of his dice.
