In search of Crusader ships - asked by Julian Hannam, 15 October 2021

Any ideas for appropriate medieval ships lads? English (First) crusaders in particular. Thought about scratchbuilding but if there is a quicker option I’ll take it!

The scale if 1/72 might be a problem for DBMM as the ships are between 40 to 50cm long. The lifeboat is about 10cm so would fit on a standard base.
You need to find ships at about 1/350 scale

Neil Williamson Here’s my cunning plan, yep, model will be WAY too big. What I’m going to do is mount 6 of these little models on the regulation base size and have one big model beside them. Obviously for game purposes can remove model if it gets in the way of anything.

Julian Hannam a cunning plan indeed. Fortunately you can get away with quite a lot at sea as there is rarely any opposition.

Bugger, since the subject came up I thought I'd use the Cog I have in stock for a possible Spanish Army.
