Teams Wellington for ValleyCon teams competition - posted by Vince Cholewa, 30 March 2019

Teams Wellington: Whichever code the colours are black and yellow. ValleyCon, 25-26 January 2020 (mark the dates in your diaries), will include a DBMM teams competition. Paul Graham and I will be organising two Wellington teams, black and yellow of course, and we have scouted 12 players. Enough for two teams of four, plus a bench, so some players could play for a day rather than having to play both days.

Last Saturday at the Hutt Club. Played Doug’s later Carthaginians. Doug’s auxiliaries (s) destroyed my Wb(s)
Fun game with both of us using new Vegas dice . More 4-1s than I have ever seen before.
    Thanks Doug. 😳

Don’t trust those dice. The house always wins.
    • Allen Yaxley i gave Doug a similar dice. We both had very mixed fortunes.

A few random pics from two other DBMM games at the Hutt Valley Miniature Wargaming Club yesterday. There were five DBMM games (I hope someone has pics of the others), and also renaissance, World War 2, modern and Sci Fi games.

Seleucids vs Marian Romans - posted by Vince Cholewa, 24 March 2019

A few pics from my game yesterday at the Hutt Valley Miniature Wargaming Club. Gaius Starkey (a.k.a. Graham) brought Marian Romans to play my Seleucids. It’s aways a pleasure to play Graham - we first met at the Wellington Warlords sometime in the early 1980s. Yesterday, we played out an honourable draw as neither of us had the rules quite right for a game variation neither of us had encountered before! In game time we played an hour of daylight, 30 minutes of dusk, then night. We can tell you, now, that the rules for a gaming starting in daylight and moving into night are rather clever and well-worth playing - lots of interesting challenges to overcome. Just be aware that there is key information in several different sections of the DBMM rulebook. At home last night, a highlighter was used.

    The Romans are coming!
