General Election causes meeting changes - posted by Vince Cholewa, 13 September 2020

Meeting date changes: With the change of date of the general election from September 19 to October 17 the Wellington Warlords’ meeting on September 19 is back on but the Hutt Miniature Wargaming Club meeting on October 10 has been cancelled. Both venues are polling places and early voting will be happening on October 10.
If you have not yet registered to vote, there is a link in the caption for the Electoral Commission pic. If you don’t know who Kate Sheppard was (!?!), she led the New Zealand women’s suffrage movement. On 19 September 1893 the Electoral Act was signed into law and New Zealand women were the first in the world to win the right to vote.
