There be dragons! (and some wargaming🙂) - posted by Vince Cholewa, 4 February 2025

On Saturday [February 1], wargaming at the Levin Library encountered lions and a dragon, so of course I took some short videos. We were on the Open Meeting Room and the Chinese New Year event was in the main public area.
From Sunday, February 16 we will be back to our regular venue and timetable, Levin East School hall, from 10am, first and third Sunday of the month. As an aside, the Open Meeting Room is a very nice venue - I’d recommend it if anyone is looking for a moderate-sized space to use.
Games yesterday were: Richard Glendinning and his boys played a Battletech training mission and Chris Blackler (Late Imperial Romans) and I (Early Imperial Romans) played DBMM 100 - the game confirmed there is one true Caesar. Ave!
It was great to see Mark Conroy, Edward Gough and Logan Young drop by to talk toy soldiers 🌝

The Emperor and a “bronze” of Poseidon. In this game it was just for show.
