 Hmm, little bases offer no protection to the fragile spears on these figures.

    Sadly, an issue with modern big, 28mm figures. Deeper bases are an option, then discuss with your opponent before the game starts how you will manage recoils.

    Us older folk use Magnetic bases and metal tool boxes BUT almost no plastic cavalry are less than 50mm nose to tail

    Deeper bases. It doesn't impact play anywhere near as much as you might imagine. Lots of players do it.

      Philip Gates I disagree. Bases occupy space and trying to judge available space to move to, in and through visually when parts of a base don't "exist" is challanging.
