DBMM Games at Pukekohe today. Benny played John Calnan with Andulus vs Persia. A bloody affair with a massive dead pile of Andlusians including 2 of their generals before a hail mary 180 turn of close order foot who were facing Elephants. They turned, moved as a line into a column of Persian Cav and won the combat breaking the Persian army.
On the other table I played Philip Abela with my rejigged Ghaznavids vs Saitic Egyptians. I tried a Brilliant General, flank attack with one command of Reg Cv S and Elephant General leading 4 more Elephant S on the matching flank. The CnC was meant to hold up the rest of the opposing forces. Turned out both of us flank marched on the same flank, his being a larger mob and pushing my Cav S back. I came on with pips to spare wheras the Egyptian Kn Chariots only had one pip. Meant i could get in the first charge and get an Elephant into the knights. Very bloody game with 3 commands shattered but niether army broken and a draw a good result. Great game aganist and excellent opponent.
Also at the club, Zulus were attacking the Brits at a drift and many Saga games.
