Here are pics of the six DBMM games at the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club yesterday, and it was great to have Keith Trye visiting from New Plymouth. Keith was in Wellington to help his daughter work on her house and, somehow, a Medieval French army found its way into his car
The games were all historical match-ups or close contemporaries. I have also snuck in a couple of out-of-period pics of sailing ships because they were so pretty
Alastair Duncan (Andalusian) and John van den Hoeven (Feudal Spanish) fought until both their armies broke.
On the other hand, Wayne Watts (Navarrese) and Keith Trye (Medieval French) called it a day after total losses across both armies of only 3.5ME.
Che Tibby’s brand new Mountain Indians are still a work in progress, being mostly undercoated, but judging by Che’s other armies will be gorgeous. They played Phil Gates’ Lysimachids.
Graham Starkey (Samnites) played Peter Noble (Graeco-Bactrian).
Allen Yaxley (Norse-Irish) played Gary Lewis (Anglo-Saxon).

The King of Kings, Paul Graham (Early Achaemenid Persian) invades Thrace. This is bound one of our game - my ambush has just appeared and my flank march has not. |

Not DBMM: a pair of very nicely assembled and painted Spanish ships of the line. |
Also not DBMM: a very pretty British frigate |
