Game from Saturday. First time in over ten years that I had a game plan that lasted longer than turn two. Quite a lot of Brent SP figures in action -
Alastair Duncan turned up with a revitalised army of Assyrians.
Thanks to Michail Woolf for providing the photos.

The plan |
|
general view (!) from my right flank |
|
right flank engaged enemy chariots and cavalry with limited aims |
|
centre advanced with enthusiasm. Argyraspides (figures are 40 years old, Hinchcliffe) |
|
and more pikes - these are home casts and some ex Brent SP. LIKE the towers (war wagons) which were quite tough. Plus imitation elephants (disguised camels) |
|
My elephants stayed well out of it |
|
Left flank did enough to protect the flank of the phalanx. And nothing extra. |
Philip GatesLooks good. I had those boxes on wheels shooting at me last weekend. Did the plan work?
Vincent CholewaI have been using the earliest part of the list when the line cavalry are Cv(O)
Russell BriantO’Kane, A’Kane (SP figs), A’Gain….
Looking forward to part two of this epic tale…
Paul GrahamI believe it was Pikes 4, Auxiliaries 0, no need for extra time or a penalty shootout.
Alastair DuncanAs akevin was using Minifigs with pikes still attached and I was using Garriaon figures there can be little doubt that the Veterans on both side wanted a short ga.e so they could have a nap after lunch. Accordingly I obliged!
