Lusitanii Caetrati - posted by Russell Briant, 26 November 2023

This Lusitanii Caetrati cohort has taken an age to paint. Was supposed to be my project while umpiring Flames of War at CtA 1 in September.
All Victrix Miniatures plastic Ancient Iberian figures with Little Big Man shield transfers.

Just 24 Caetrati bases to go. About to undercoat the next eight.

The lighter colours of the texturing and minimal tufting really brings the definition in your painting to the forefront of what you achieved.
Stunningly gorgeous. ðŸ¤“

"......Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our four...no... amongst our weapons.... amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again."

...with Lusitania mostly being Portugal I guess the Spanish inquisition should be unexpected.
