I'm putting together a 15mm ancients Army, compatible with both DBMM and ADLG. What are people's recommended suppliers for NZ?

- John EdmundsonDonnington, yes. And they now have new ranges - some great Arabs and North Africans for example. I think Lancashire may have recently shut up shop but their ranges may reappear if the molds are onsold.

- John EdmundsonI buy figures from the US and Britain and they have both been good. I've been told Khurasan can be slow (I think because the guy gets a bit snowed under) but I've never heard a genuine complaint about them. I've bought from Old Glory (US), Essex, Magis…See More2

- John EdmundsonPaul Compton They're still a dependable and extensive range. They have good photos of everything on their website. I've tended to use them to fill gaps. They're at the smaller end size wise but I personally think you can get away with quite a bit of va…See More1

- David BillinghurstEssex are a great standard, and a wide number of ranges. Tend to have passive poses. Closer to true 15mm. Blue Moon is closer to 18mm, not hugely detailed, but paint up nicely (I have some Italian Wars figures I use for Fantasy humans). Khurasan has a …See MoreForged In BattleFORGEDINBATTLE.COMForged In Battle

- John EdmundsonDavid Billinghurst Be careful with Forged in Battle though. They seem to be modelled on the original AEIR, so have some inaccuracies. Eg their Blemmyes are wrong and their Sassanian LH have globe hats. Their Etruscans on the other hand look great but t…See More1

- Hamish CameronI've ordered from Khurasan, Forged in Battle, and Baueda in the last year or so, and the speed of service and delivery has been fine on all of them.1

- Ben Vartok+1 Forged in Battle. Also Xyston are very nice though prob 18mm. I had their Macedonians and now have Greeks waiting to meet the brush. There were some 15mm armies, painted including Picts and Swiss for sale on this group late last year if you search back for 15mm.1

- Peter DunnMy 15mm armies are a mix of Two Dragons, Chariot, Eureka, Essex and Museum.Happy with them all esp 2D and Chariot. Only caveat would be with Museum. Some figures seem nearer to 18mm and horse anatomy can be a bit hit/miss1
