Numbering table edges - posted by Peter Dunn, 12 July 2021

So looking at the terrain placement rules, I see the board edges are numbered 1-4 and then the defender chooses which edge he will put 5 on.

If I am Invader can I choose the same board edge as the defender so that one side has its original number plus 5 & 6?

Yep! This is a good way to lower the chance for rivers and roads to appear, as well as a way to increase your chance of having an open flank

But doesn't that mean Tansmission gully won't be open on time?

Alastair Duncan you have to roll to place the gully first. If that succeeds, you may then place a road along it….
….but possibly only for the next game….
…if there isn’t a plague that delays it and doesn’t allow you to bring in foreign slaves…
I think that’s how it works. Will check rules in book later.
