Little bit of image editing to create the last Wars of the Roses banner. Trying to keep it simple enough for my colour printer to cope...

      I glue flags and banners onto foil from the necks of wine bottles, then glue that onto the flag staff and shape it.

    • I think it was pretty short sighted of all those medieval noble families coming up with all those complicated heraldic devices.
      Why didn't someone just say "stop, think about all those wargamers in 500 years time who are going to have to try and replic…

         as today, they had a bureaucracy of heralds who made their money with being specialists of that know how to make heraldry "right" Like the bureaucratic law school bureaucrats today. Shoot them all (then and now) and life gets simple and cheap....

      Process by the way not difficult. Grabbed copy of griffin image (bitmap = jpg), converted that to a vector graphic outline using a very basic version of Corel Draw. Then simply draw the rectangles (Corel allows precision sizing) and colour in each part of the central figure.
