Results from DBMM competition at Call to Arms 2019
Huge thanks to the players for making the competition work so well, with good sportsmanship from everyone and very few curly questions for an umpire. We used 6 pre-set tables based on historical battlefields, which worked well this year. Andrew Bennetts ably represented the world north of the Horowhenua-Wairarapa line.
All 12 players did well, scoring double digit points. The overall 2019 champion was Mark Pickup with his Bosporan Romans-in-disguise, closely followed by Gary Lewis (Florentine) and Alastair Duncan (a Book 4/3/2/1 line up of Javanese, Byzantines, Britons and Hittites).
The final results in detail were:
1st Mark Pickup 79pts Bosporan
2nd Gary Lewis 76 pts Florentine
