Potbelly Miniatures to cease 3D resin printing - from Potbelly Miniatures, 30 June 2025

Sad news, Potbelly Miniatures to cease 3D resin printing. Current orders will be completed. Details in the shared post. Thank you so much to Che who has done so much for our hobby. It’s a real shame to lose such a good local business but if you read the post below you will understand the reasons ☹️

It's a big day here at Potbelly Towers, because... we've closed the shop. I know this is terrible news for you all, but I just haven't been able to find a contract printer here in NZ. Scott Whittaker has been doing admirable service filling in the gaps where he can, but the money from Potbelly just isn't enough to keep the man in full time employment.
Plus... I moved everything out to the Belly Barn about 12 months too late, and I'm pretty sure I'm now mildly allergic to the resin. You can imagine that this is suboptimal considering that 95% of the Potbelly business is resin printing 😕
So. What does this mean? It means almost all the orders will have to stop. I'll likely do a little printing here and there for 4D Legend t-shirt holders, and I'll run out all the current outstanding orders, but the rest will need to be moved to another printer.
If you're needing plastic printed, I can still do that!
And with that, it's a huge thanks to everyone who's supported the business these 3 1/2 years. It's been quite the journey, and I'm looking forward to doing a little chillaxing with all the free time I'm going to have.
