Results from Levin DBMM competition, the Persian Empires and their Enemies.
Thank you so much to everyone for taking part and making it a successful, fun two days of playing with toy soldiers. I thought there was a really good buzz around the hall: engaged, competitive in a fun way, and enjoying each other’s company.

Thank you so much to everyone for taking part and making it a successful, fun two days of playing with toy soldiers. I thought there was a really good buzz around the hall: engaged, competitive in a fun way, and enjoying each other’s company.
Special mentions and thank yous:
- Richard Foster, who travelled from Thames, far from home.
- The Taranaki contingent, four of you: Dirk Heinsius, Julian and Dougal Hannam, and Keith Trye. A convoy or a raiding party?
- Chris Blacker played his first ever full-point-sized DBMM games, and in his first competition.
- Che Tibby, for all your help doing all the admin at the end of round four for the results and totals, much appreciated.
- The writer of Peter Williamson’s Seleucid list. Peter borrowed my Seleucids and did far better with them than I ever have!
- Everyone who spoke so encouragingly to our visitors. We may have three new recruits for our local Levin cub, and lots of good vibes about wargaming and playing with toy soldiers.
- The Levin Cosmopolitan Club staff who rocked up by 7.30am each morning to have the heating, lights, tea and coffee ready for us before we started.
The winners were:

Next year
Having run Greek, Roman and Persian themes for the first three years, there is keen interest in a medieval theme next year. More to come!
