DBMM New Zealand DBMM, De Bellis Magistrorum Militum, are wargames rules for ancient and medieval battles from 3000 BC to 1525 AD. The rules are written by Phil Barker and published by the Wargames Research Group Limited Publications. The rules, army lists and books are available from www.wrg.me.uk The purpose of this blog is to promote the rules in New Zealand by sharing information and photos. Lithuanian archers, Ps(O) - posted by Vince Cholewa, 16 January 2026

Recently finished, 10 elements of irregular ordinary psiloi for my Lithuanian army, c.1500 AD. The bodies are all Gripping Beast (GB) dark ages archers, except the standard bearer, which is a Fire Forge steppe warrior body. Heads are GB dark ages archers and Picts, and Perry Miniatures Wars of the Roses mercenary infantry. One cloak is from the Picts box and the rest are Tamiya epoxy putty. The banner is a heraldic bear I printed onto standard paper and glued onto foil from the top of a sparking wine bottle.
