Merry Christmas - posted by Vince Cholewa, 24 December 2020

I cried! Stille Nacht (Silent Night) is one of Austria’s gifts to the world, I think it even has UNESCO heritage status. But have you heard this beautiful arrangement, Po Marie?
If you can, play it with good sound on speakers or headphones and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
All those performing are professional singers and are Kiwis in Europe unable to get back because of lockdowns, challenging flight connections (and cancellations), and quarantine requirements. So, they sent this home. There is even a bonus track, the children’s classic, A Pukeko in a Ponga Tree, but not as sung by primary school children.
For those on this group who are not in New Zealand, “whānau” is extended family and “Aotearoa” is New Zealand.
