Got another game in this week. Wayne Watts and I went to the Auckland Wargaming Club (https://www.facebook.com/AWC.NZ) today for a 400 point Spear discussion. Wayne fielded Thessilians vs my Early Carthaginians. I was hoping win on the flanks with my Chariots and LH but one side became a stalemate and I took too long on the right. Meanwhile in the centre Wayne's irregular hoplites started talking with my disciplined Sacred Band and Regular I troops. Turns out its quite an advantage when's its your bound with spear!

End result my centre collapsed, the Thessilian flank march turned up and in the last bound Wayne killed my Numidian Ally General with a well executed cheap shot to break his command and the army for a 21-4. I did get one command but with Thessialians that's a drop in the ocean.
