ChariCon: Final results after fournd 4 - posted by Neil Williamson, 19 February 2023

The final round of ChariCon had some very interesting games.
Alastair (Burgundy 450ap) was harrased by skirmishing style tactics from Paul's Persians.
A fascinating game to watch and the Burgundian's were only 1me of being disheartened after losing a general in bound 2.
14 - 11 to Alastair
The two Romans slugged it out. Wayne finally had his large army and David finally had his small army. Wayne couldn't repeat his success with the small version and got beaten by selected local counter attacks at key points.
25 - 0 to David
Craig (Scots 450ap) faced Graham's Samnites who were well entrenched behind obstacles and in a wood. The Scots battered themselves against the fortifications. Meanwhile, the sneaky Samnites, moved some hidden cavalry into the back field and headed straight for the Scottish baggage.
25 - 0 to Graham
Final results
Wayne 68 (tuft winner)
Graham 63
Alastair 60
David 48
Paul 32
Craig 29
Congratulations go to Wayne. He had a well thought out army list.
I would like to thank all the players for approaching the tournament in a positive spirit and willing to try something a bit different. All players were very positive of the different scoring system.

I will post some analysis of the event in a later post.

An important river crossing that the Burgundians could not get across. It was defended by 4 Bw(i) with some enfilading fire from some Bw(x).

Romans v Romans
