Posted on behalf of Keith Marshall - huge sale of 15mm armies:
Heya,
Alas, the time has finally come to downsize my toy-soldier collections ahead of moving into a smaller place. It has taken a few months of soul-searching to figure out what of my vast collections of toy-soldiers get to stay, and which are (reluctantly) sold off. Anyhows, the upshot of that is that I am going to quit all my 15mm Ancients, Dark Ages and Medieval armies. Yep, the whole lot.
You're getting this email cos you've been on one or more wargame related email contacts I have been party to over the years. My grovelling apologies if you get this more than once !
The total amounts to around 1,000 cavalry and 3,200 infantry figures, and over 60 individual models (elephants, chariots, artillery, towers, naval, etc); representing over 1,400 individual bases of figures! While there is some variation in figure manufacturers, the basing is consistent across much of the collection (excluding a couple of notable "stand-alone" armies) so
that the whole is pretty much interchangeable. This was a deliberate approach to maximise the ability to field many differing armies. For example, in ADLG, DBx or FoG terms, I estimate that it is possible to field well over 80 different armies, each having plenty of choice and options. The painting quality is mostly to a good or very good wargames standard, with none worse than average.
The army choices span the "classic" ancients period allowing such as: Carthaginians, Greeks (including the various Asiatic Greeks), Successors, Pontic, Persians, Armenians, Scythians, and etc, etc, etc.

Dark Ages possibilities include: Vikings, Bretons, Normans, Slavs, Irish, etc, etc, etc.
The medieval choices range across: feudal English, French, 100YW, Wars of the Roses, Crusaders, Hungarians, Italians, etc, etc, etc.
The Asiatic hordes encompass: Huns, Mongols, Asiatic steppe nomads of most persuasions,
Turks of pretty much all persuasions, and plenty of Chinese options.
Ask me direct if you want any photos.
I would be prepared to break the collection down into chunks as below, but would prefer to sell the lot to a single home.
For the whole kitting caboodle: $4,500 ono.
Or in bits:
* "classics": $900
* Asiatic: $800
* combined Dark Ages and Medieval: $2,500 . or .
* Dark Ages only: $1,800
* Medieval only: $600
* WotR only: $250
* Nubian and Old Kingdom Egyptians: $800
* Aztecs: $300
Anyhows, I've attached the full listing .
Sigh, old age and rationalising toy-soldiers !!
Kindest regards,
Keith
