We used three tables yesterday [Sunday, November 2] at Poroutawhao Hall: Ken Hay (Dwarves) and Jeremy from Palmerston, who travelled with his Beastmen played Warhammer the Old World, David and Samuel Taylor played several games of DBA using various armies, and Chris Blackler (Late Imperial Romans) and I played DBMM 200 - there’s only one true Caesar!
Our next meeting is November 16. See you there

DBA: Samuel and David’s first game, 100 Years War English vs Alexandrian Macedonians. In his game the English archery was too much for the pike phalanx. Next game was the reverse when it was a later Greek hoplite army vs the English. More games followed with different pairs of armies. The beauty of DBA being such a good quick-play system.
Mark MosesWhat scale are your armies you using for DBA and DBMM
Vincent CholewaMark Moses thank you for asking. Predominantly 20mm and 25/28mm for DBA but some 15mm. DBMM has been 25/28mm.
Vincent CholewaThere is good local interest in horse and musket, including Napoleonic. No sure about 20mm but certainly there are players using 15mm and I think 25/28mm. |
 |
| DBMM 200: Chris Blacker (Late Imperial Romans) defended against my Early Imperial Romans and had the first move. I have deployed on my left with the intention of using the wood to restrict Chris’s mounted troops, which were better than mine. |

Gotta love provincial New Zealand. Poroutawhao Hall is next door to the school, which uses it as their hall. Our next meeting is November 16, the day after the calves, lambs and chickens |
