Roving Reporter, Alastair Duncan, was at the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club yesterday. Alastair says: It was Brit on Brit as Daniel Wade and Graham Starkey went head to head with Ancient Brits.

Meanwhile, Messers Paul Graham and Michael Stonyer were civil waring, with Patrician Romans and Huns (😆), while Shay Bassett’ 100 Years War English rushed Alastair's Vikings.

I had an interesting game with Graham. I was using a four command list for the first time and as expected I threw ones for my two Allies first turn. Graham also threw a one for one of his Allies. I spent ages getting my Allies to get engaged but it was one of Grahams Ps elements which finally enabled my second one to activate. Graham put dismounted Charioteers in his front rank of the Warbands which worked well. I put some of mine into woods which was a mistake. (I thought it might be better than having Chariots in the woods) lesson learnt. 15 10 win to Graham.
