A cunning plan involving a BUAf - posted by Julian Hannam, 23 September 2025

Tried out a BUAf today, first hurdle was defending (tick). My opponent then stoically ignored it, my ArtO was out of range. Then my opponents flank match came on, my cavalry command got into trouble outnumbered and swamped. But…was great fun!

I have had success at least getting enemy to not ignore my BUAf by putting it on a road that runs through my opponent’s deployment area. That also can constrict where they set up trying to stay out of range of artillery deployed inside.

Damn! One day it’s all going to come together: BUAf, art, flank march etc.
Nice table 👍

Vincent Cholewa the one thing you can always be sure about in DBMM is your plan will need a modification - even before you see the enemy!
