Early Vandals vs Middle Romans, DBMM 200 at the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club - from Michael Stonyer, 27 April 2026

Michael Stonyer (Middle Imperial Romans) sent these words and pics from his game on Saturday vs Barry Norris’ Early Vandals). Mike says:

“A poorly coordinated assault by the Roman attackers on the Vandal warband, followed by a series of six-ones in the Vandal's favour led only to disaster for the legions. On Saturday, the middle Roman army was out fought by a well-led Vandal defender.

Resulting in a 25 to Nil defeat for Rome.

Poorly co-ordinated assault sounds like Valens at Adrianople against the Goths…so very historically plausible.
