Sertorius Spanish vs Fatimid Egyptians, part 1 - from Keith Trye, posted 13 May 2023

From Keith V Trye: Keith's Sertorius Spanish on their first outing vs Julian Hannam, Fatamid Egyptian. Started well for Spanish, managed to ambush and flank the Fatimid's CinC, but failed to capitalise. The Spanish light infantry attacked the impetuous volunteers hordes, but failed to double them, boy these boys are stubborn! This all by turn two. Ongoing game, will be completed next week.

Spanish light troops trying to outflank the Fatimid Kurds Kni and push thru the wooded hills(Spanish were defenders and put down loads of difficult terrain)

The failed ambush /assassination of the Egyptian CinC by hidden cavalry.

The battle at end of turn 2, awaiting the Egyptian counter attack.
