Thank you so much to Neil Williamson for running the DBMM 100 inter-club competition at the Hutt Valley Wargaming Club today. Something I learned, playing DBMM 100 is very different to playing a full-sized game and is definitely not just a smaller game. A great system for playing four games in a day, as we did.
I used Mitanni and had a great day playing Gary Lewis (Later Hoplite Greeks), Jim Hosking (New Kingdom Egyptians), Steven (Early Achaemenid Persians) and Craig Mabon (Kushan); gentlemen all

I finished with 52/100 and team Horowhenua was third. Neil will post all the details.

Jim Hosking with his New Kingdom Egyptians, though this pic is not from our game. Jim rolled rubbish PIPs, I rolled rubbish combat dice and we ended with both our armies broken! 12-13 to Jim. |

Steven with his Early Achaemenid Persians. I was not able to press home my advantage on the right that you can see here and again I held on for a 10-15 draw, just. |

Craig Mabon with his Kushan. Craig got an early edge on me in this game but then his PIPs dried up in the crucial bounds and I burgled a 20-5 win. |
