DBMM 200: Free Companies vs Early 16th Century Polish - posted by Josh Barton, 21 May 2020

Finally got some gaming in - Vincent Cholewa came over for a game of DBMM 200 with his beautifully painted Polish facing off against my Free companies.
The game was... brutal, the French knights chased off half of the Polish knights in a couple of bounds, while the rest of the Polish knights utterly destroyed the Anglo-French bowmen and foot.
Fortunately for the Polish though the Lithuanians rolled good pips and managed to arrive in the mercenary's rear at the right time, killing one of the generals, and killing enough of the French knights to break the army.
It was great to get back into it, and DBMM 200 is a nice game to play over a weekday evening

A terrible photo of Vince - sorry Vince! — with Vincent Cholewa.
Vincent Cholewa To misquote some of our teams-Tasman cousins: It’s a long way to the top of you wanna play with toy soldiers 😝

  • Vincent Cholewa I have wandered around to Josh’s side of the table. The Lithuanians were doing the LH thing and getting behind Josh’s army.
  • Bruce Ferguson Making a beeline for the beer fridge no doubt

Vincent Cholewa The initial clash on the Polish left did not go at all well. The flag is of the Jastrzębiec clan.
