Baggage Amendments for Pukekohe One Dayer
Following a discussion on the international DBMMList group (https://groups.io/g/DBMMlist/topics) we are going to trial some minor changes to the DBMM baggage rules.
The intent is to encourage a return to using Bge(O) as the default, rather then the current situation where everyone tends to prefer Bge(I/F).
This would:
- Solve inconsistencies and AP inequities for those armies that are only allowed Bge(O) at present.
- Encourage the return of camp dioramas which tend to provide better modelling opportunities than mobile baggage.
- Encourage experimenting with fortified camps, which generally seem to be considered too expensive to bother with at existing points values
The proposals are:
- Bge(O) will be priced the same as the equivalent Bge(I). I.e. Irreg Bge(O) @ 1AP and Reg Bge(O) @ 2AP
- An army without Bge(O) can exchange Regular Bge(I/F) for Regular Bge(O) and Irregular Bge(I/F) for Irregular Bge(O)
- An army currently without Baggage in their list at all (there are a few!) can include Irreg Bge(O)
As per the current rules (p18), any Bge(O) can always be fielded as Bge(I) on a game by game basis for no change in points.
