What might Marcomanni Germans have looked like? Asked by john Way, 16 October 2025

Greetings. I am looking at making a Marcomanni version of Early German. Anyone have knowledge of how to depict the Reg Bd (I)?

My Suggestion is a mix of shielded, axe bearing infantry combined with armoured/helmet wearing miniatures. All in similar poses grouped closely together on the 60mm base so as to provide a more cohesive, shield wall type appearance. The mix of armour and unarmoured figures should convince/remind your opponent they are Bd(I)
