Bangkok DBMM competition - posted by Kwan Waihung, 6 May 2025

On May 3rd and 4th, 8 of us had a wonderful weekend in Bangkok, 3 of us were from Thailand, and 5 of us were from Hong Kong. This was the 6th DBMM competition. The competition period was from 700 AD to 1199 AD, late book 3 and early book 4. Everyone was 400 AP. Each person played 4 games, and the organizers encouraged us to use strategies, and the time was 4 hours per game. Since the date range was innovative, many bold new armies were used..... Many bold new armies were used by the participants. For example, camels~XD. The competition venue was well air-conditioned, and the restaurant next to it was cheap and delicious. This was my third time participating in the Bangkok competition, and I was very happy every time. I used the Byzantium III65 and only got 5th place in the end. Congratulations to Bob for winning the championship, Nash for the second place, and Neil for the third place (the king of camels). Finally, thank you to the organizers and their families. If you want to know more, you can go to Facebook to find Thailand Historical Wargamers. hope to see you all at the Hong Kong competition in November.
