Polybian Romans vs Dacians - frm Alastair Duncan, posted 17 June 2024

From Roving Reporter, Alastair Duncan, at the Wellington Warlords yesterday:

Just one DBMM game at this Sunday’s special Warlords meeting but it was the one to watch. Richard Fields’ Polybians faced off against the invading Dacians of Alastair Duncan.

The Dacians lost control of the two large warband commands in move one but alas a strong showing by the Roman psiloi wasn't enough and bit by bit the legions casualties mounted. Then just as the Roman killed the Dacian sub-general in the centre, the Polybian spear collapsed and the Sarmatian ally swept down on the other flank.

A close run win to the Dacians but the Sarnatians reckon it was all there work!!!
